What is a Registered Apprentice?

Registered Apprenticeship (RA) combines employer-driven education and employment training with structured on the Job training and instruction to apprentices for specific occupations. Registered apprentices have access to an experienced on-site journey worker (or mentor); engage in classroom, online or correspondence learning; have opportunities to attain an industry recognized and/or postsecondary credential; earn progressively higher wages as the apprentice increases their skill levels, and, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship program, earn a nationally recognized, portable completion certificate.

What are the benefits of a Registered Apprenticeship?

Earn as you Learn! Registered Apprentices receive wages when they begin work and pay increases as they meet Skill Gains benchmarks for skill attainment

Hands on Training

Registered Apprentices always includes an On-the-Job Training component. Apprentices receive hands-on training On-the-Job from an experienced mentor/journey worker. The structure of On-the-Job Training focuses on Training, the skills and knowledge an apprentice must learn during the program.

MARS CDC is now offering apprenticeship opportunities in various construction occupations in Florida and New Jersey.
