Housing Initiative
MARS CDC’s housing initiative is focused on acquisition, rehabilitation, redevelopment, and stabilization of distressed residential properties in underserved communities. The initiative is designed to improve housing quality, reduce blight, expand affordability, and support long-term neighborhood stability.
The Need
Many underserved communities face aging housing stock, vacancy, deteriorated properties, affordability pressure, and limited access to safe and stable housing options. MARS CDC’s housing strategy is designed to respond to these overlapping conditions through targeted redevelopment and community-centered implementation.
