MILLEN, GEORGIA — April 24, 2026 — MARS Community Development Corporation, a 20-year-old community development organization with established locations in Miami and New Jersey, is proud to announce the expansion of its footprint into the State of Georgia.

As part of this strategic growth, MARS CDC has named Gwen Watson as its Economic Development Expansion Coordinator & Director for Georgia.

In this role, Watson will help lead MARS CDC’s Georgia expansion efforts with a focus on economic development, housing education, small business development, community outreach, partnership building, and long-term sustainability for rural communities. Her work will center on connecting residents, families, entrepreneurs, community partners, and local stakeholders with resources that support stronger neighborhoods and greater economic opportunity.
